FTP (File Transfer Protocol) Instructions

Use
An FTP site is used to transfer files that may be too large to be sent via e-mail. The FTP site is a temporary storage for transferred files so any file left longer than 30 days will be deleted.

Setup
Please contact the network Administrator at MIE to supply you with a username and password.

Internal to MIE

1. Go to Internet explorer
2. In the address line type in ftp:10.10.10.5
3. A Box will come up asking for Username and Password
4. You must have a username and password assigned by MIE to use this site
5. Enter your username and password and press enter.
6. You will now be on the homepage for your username.
7. You have read and write properties here.
8. To place a file here just copy from somewhere else.
9. Then right click and paste.

10. Go to Internet explorer
11. In the address line type in ftp:65.60.92.131
12. A Box will come up asking for Username and Password
13. You must have a username and password assigned by MIE to use this site
14. Enter your username and password and press enter.
15. You will now be on the homepage for your username.
16. You have read and write properties here.
17. To place a file here just copy from somewhere else.
18. Then right click and paste.

19. Go to Internet explorer
20. In the address line type in ftp:65.60.92.131
21. A Box will come up asking for Username and Password
22. Username = MIEGUEST
23. Password=MIEGUEST           
24. You will now be on the homepage for your username.
25. You have read rights only here.
26. To download a file from here just right click then left click copy.
27. Then paste it to your computer..
