    BENEFITS
    Group Health Coverage

    Medical: MIE offer a rich plan through Blue Cross of California with both the HMO and PPO options to our employees.  

    Dental:  MIE offers both the DMO and the DPO options through Aetna  giving our employees  freedom of choice in selecting dental providers.

    ·Vision:   MIE offers an accessible and affordable vision plan through Spectera, with convenient        network locations in Costco and Walmart as well as at private vision providers.

    Life Insurance:  Basic Group Term Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage, provided through Mutual of Omaha, is employer paid for MIE employees, with the added benefit of a an option to purchase additional voluntary life coverage for employees and their dependents. 

     

    Long-Term Disability:
    All exempt level employees are enrolled in this company paid benefit.

    Employee Assistance Program (EAP):  This benefit provided through Affinity Care is company paid and provided by MIE to all employees who may need assistance with confidential and personal matters outside the workplace.  We believe that a well-balanced life outside of the workplace provides for improved employee satisfaction and productivity in the workplace.

    Retirement Plan
    • MIE offers a 401(K) retirement plan with corporate match, currently offered through Fidelity Investments, to provide employees with the tools to plan for financial security as they near retirement.  The employee can contribute up to $15,000 (for Plan Year 2006) of gross wages into the plan, with participants over 50 eligible to contribute an additional $5,000 pretax contribution on top of the regular contribution.  Eligible employees may participate after completing three (3) months of service.  
    Paid Holidays/Vacation & Sick Time Accrual - Available to eligible employees the first of the month following        successful completion of the 90-day introductory period.
     
    • MIE observes eight regular paid holidays per calendar year. Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independance Day, Labor Day and one company designated floating holiday determined by management.
    • Vacation is accrued based on tenure withup to a maximum of 15 vacation days per calendar year.
    • MIE provides sick leave benefits to all eligible exempt employees for . 
    periods of temporary absence due to illness or injuries
     

    Educational Assistance Program
